For locations with centralised batteries, the CPS 3200U power system powers remote telecom equipment from the CO using twisted pairs. It consists of 16 converters/limiter cards which provide 32 100VA limited output channels. In locations with not so accessible AC service or when there is a desire for no battery life, the CPS 2500D and X-Pair are applicable. The CPS 2500D power system is made for powering telecom equipment at the remote end of the twisted pair. It is ideally suited to supply 48V loads from 200 to 2000W. And the X-Pair series of products are made to support 48V loads of up to 65W in weather protected environments with natural convection.

What does the CPS3200U consist of?

The CPS3200U consists mainly of the convertor card (QS982A), convertor shelf (QS9010), fan shelf (QS91A) and controller (QS941A). The 3200U contains 16 dc/dc converter/limiter cards in a dense 2 RU shelf. Each card contains a pair of independent -48 Vdc input to ±190 Vdc output converters with each output safety limited to 100VA. The cards are fully connectorized and insulator shielded, inrush current protected and completely hot swappable, making card addition to in-service shelves in the field an easy, one step process. The converter card shelf is completely front access, with all -48V input and RJ21 output connections made on connectors in front of the mid-mount shelf brackets. The alarm and communications connections are also on the front of the shelf.

What does the CPS2500D consist of?

Applied with the CPS2500D is the converter unit (QS882A),shelf(QS800A/QS800B) and a 19-inch adapter bracket. The CPS2500D System consists of up to ten QS882A dual converter cards in a shelf with input and output wiring and an alarm and connector card on the right side. A fully configured shelf delivers a maximum load power of 1300 Watts in an outdoor cabinet.

The X-Pair which can be used in small remote sites consists of some special order items such as H5694772G100-CC which is a sealed dual-channel downstream converter, H5694772G200-CC which is a Sealed dual-channel downstream converter in a vented polycarbonate enclosure with 2 input protection blocks and H5694772G300-CC which is a Sealed dual-channel downstream converter in a 3-inch aerial strand-mount enclosure.
